Gamescom Asia 2022, the only satellite event of the world's largest video games festival Gamescom, will be held at Suntec Convention & Exhibition Centre in Singapore from Thursday to Saturday, with online segments available for global audiences, including gamers in Thailand, on Wednesday and Sunday.
The event includes a physical Trade Zone where over 80 exhibitors from 16 countries will showcase their services, games and expertise, and an on-site Trade Conference where over 60 speakers will be sharing their insights on trending topics in the gaming scene.
The Entertainment Zone (B2C), meanwhile, will be held fully online via streaming for all audiences worldwide and include two virtual shows -- Primetime and Studio -- which showcase gaming companies and content.
Primetime goes live today at 7pm Bangkok time. The one-hour session will be filled with news, first looks, game premieres and more from the Asean region and beyond. Hosts Victoria Cheng and Tashbunny will present the show in English while Dejet and Mint will engage audiences virtually in Bahasa Indonesia and Thai, respectively.
Rounding up Gamescom Asia 2022 will be the half-day programme Studio, which will stream on Sunday from noon to 6pm Bangkok time.
It will feature a series of showcases including a special spotlight on Southeast Asian games and developers, the first look at Scopely's latest game trailer, a selection of award-winning indie games from around the world, a fireside chat on Japan's games scene, and a broadcast of World Warrior – Capcom Cup IX Qualifiers.
All the games and tryouts at the event are available for global gamers to demo on the Steam Event page at gamescom.asia.
