Galway United will need extra funding to take on Galway WFC teams for next season

Galway United have confirmed the club's interest in taking over Galway WFC after the withdrawal from the WNL after 10 seasons.

However, the westerners admit that they will need help with the cost of running three extra teams if the plan comes to fruition next year.

The FAI will provide grants to support the move but Galway still need to raise the necessary funds to make the move happen.
