One lucky Galway man has revealed how he "wobbled" to the kitchen to tell his wife they had just won €500,000.
The lucky punter from Ballinasloe, Co. Galway, who has chosen to remain anonymous, bought his EuroMillions Plus ticket on Friday, June 30 at the Eurospar in Townparks after picking the same numbers for a year straight.
"I couldn’t believe it when I checked online and saw them all there. I wobbled out to the kitchen to tell my wife the news. I don’t think she believed me at first."

Speaking about her husband's reaction to the rich discovery, the man's wife said: "His face was grey with shock when he came into the room and then he whispered to me that he thinks he just won half a million euro."
The man chirped: "It’s just been so surreal the past week reading the papers and listening to the radio and hearing presenters talk about the big winners from Ballinasloe and we’re sitting there thinking that’s us."
The winning numbers for their EuroMillions Plus draw victory were: 06, 12, 37, 47, 50.
He and his wife were the second Ballinasloe residents blessed with such good fortune inside a week after GalwayBeo reports that another player from the town picked up their very own €500,000 after playing their winning ticket at a Circle K in Brackernagh on June 23.
To add to the Hooker County's lucky roll, a person from Ballybrit won the same life-changing jackpot amount this week in the Tuesday, July 4 Euromillions Plus draw after purchasing a winning ticket in the town's Mace store, adding them to the list of Galwegians who have recently become half a million euro richer over two weeks.
Back in May, a Galway family won €250,000 in the National Lottery after purchasing the winning ticket in Salthill.
Tonight's EuroMillions draw sees a jackpot worth an estimated €65 million.
