Michigan State football continues to find new ways to lose this year.
The Spartans outplayed Rutgers for most of the game on Saturday, but costly mistakes in the fourth quarter led to a monster comeback in a Scarlet Knights 27-24 victory. Michigan State let an 18-point lead evaporate in a four-minute span in the fourth quarter to lose their fourth straight game.

Michigan State is now 2-4 on the season and 0-3 in Big Ten play. Reaching a bowl game is in doubt with a remaining schedule that includes three top 10 teams in Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State.
