Galatasaray are reportedly aiming to lure Ilkay Gundogan to Turkey with the midfielder into the final year of his Manchester City contract.
His future at the Etihad remains uncertain with the player allowed to talk to overseas clubs in January when his deal enters its last six months. Gundogan is still an integral part of Pep Guardiola’s set-up having played 20 times this season, which includes 16 starts.
Among his 51 goals in 273 matches for the Blues is the winner in last season’s final-day comeback against Aston Villa which clinched the title for City - his fourth Premier League triumph.

The Germany international is now 32 and no new deal has yet been agreed. Fotomac says Galatasaray are hoping to orchestrate a move for Gundogan, claiming that the player is a fan of the Super Lig giants.
Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Juventus also reportedly hold a primitive interest in the playmaker, who signed for City from Borussia Dortmund in 2016.
Elsewhere, The Athletic says City are tracking the progress of Chelsea youngster Jude Soonsup-Bell.
The forward, who scored 14 goals in 16 youth games during the 2020/21 season, sees his contract expire at the end of the season with a new deal at Stamford Bridge not forthcoming.
The 18-year-old has not progressed as expected over the last few years but plenty of clubs still attain an interest in him, still seeing a lot of potential. Tottenham, West Ham, Aston Villa, Southampton and Crystal Palace apparently all hold an interest.
The teenager has scored twice in seven Premier League 2 appearances after bagging eight in 36 across all competitions last season. However, he has started in just five of the 14 appearances he has tallied overall this term and could be looking for further game time elsewhere.
