Gabriel Martinelli has named Gabriel Jesus as the new best player in Arsenal training sessions. The 25-year-old joined the Gunners from Manchester City in the summer in a move worth around £45million and, having impressed, it's fair to say that the striker has lived up to expectations on and off the pitch.
Jesus has featured nine times for Mikel Arteta's side in the Premier League this season, directly contributing towards eight goals. The Brazil international's lively displays have guided the north Londoners to the makings of a title charge.
Arsenal's great vein of form is a testament to the talisman's tremendous work behind the scenes. And, Martinelli believes that Jesus is the best performing player at London Colney.

In a question and answer exchange on Twitter with his followers, the Gunners winger was asked who the best player is in training. Tagging his fellow countryman, Martinelli replied: "@gabrieljesus9."
Hailed as the top performer in training is no mean feat - especially under the watchful eye of Arteta, who is said to be a tough boss to please. In an interview with MLS’ official website, Matt Turner detailed the Spaniard's exceptionally high standards and what happens when a players loosely gives the ball away in training.
Speaking from experience, the backup goalkeeper said: "We were playing a small possession game and it was really, really tight. I tried to make a pass and I gave the ball away.
"I sort of visually got frustrated and upset and he [Arteta] just came up to me and shoved me," Turner added. "He was basically like: 'I don’t want to see that. I don’t like seeing that reaction. I want to see you pick yourself up and keep going.
"I think that really set the tone for my mentality within the club and just to keep going no matter what. If you fail, that’s alright. What matters is how you react and not about the failure in itself. That was a really nice moment."
