Gabriel Martinelli has now fulfilled two Brazil dreams since joining Arsenal.
Back in April 2020 when the subject of a tug of war between The Seleção and the Italian national team with regards to his international allegiance, the 20-year-old hinted at representing the country of his birth.
And with Brazil competing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics - which took place last summer - that factor appeared to have swayed things in their favour as Martinelli let it be known that he wanted to compete on that stage.
"Playing in the Olympics is the dream of any athlete, and I am included in that," he said. "I was very happy when I saw my name on the list and I hope to be prepared to do my best when the matches happen."
Of course, the Arsenal ace would fulfill his dream prior to the 2021/22 season getting underway and the icing on the cake was to help his nation with a Gold Medal.
Now he's fulfilled another dream.
On Friday it was announced that Martinelli has been called into the senior Brazil squad for the very first time for their World Cup qualification double-header against Chile and Bolivia at the end of the month.
This is a reward for the forward's impressive form at club level since becoming a key player in Mikel Arteta's plans towards the end of November, as he's weighed in with five goals and two assists during this period.
Included in the squad alongside Gunners teammate Gabriel Magalhaes, Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker, Chelsea defender Thiago Silva and Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar, it's certainly an exciting time for Martinelli.
As seen in the Instagram post below, the 20-year-old has reacted to receiving first Brazil senior call-up and thanked those who have helped him realise his latest dream.
"Today was the realization of another dream in my life!" he wrote. "I can only thank you for this moment, for having the opportunity to wear the shirt of the most victorious team in the history of world football.
"A lot of work and dedication so I could experience this!
"I thank everyone's trust in my work and my family and friends for always being by my side!"
One can assume that Martinelli's next target will be to win his first senior Brazil cap.
Although with competition from the likes of Neymar, Vinicius Junior and Richarlison, he has his work cut out to get a start in his favoured left-wing role.
But he could always make an appearance off the bench or start as a centre-forward due to the lack of natural strikers called up by Tite.
Despite a difficult first season in English football that included three different head coaches in Unai Emery, Freddie Ljungberg (on an interim basis) and Arteta, as well as a world worldwide pandemic, the Brazilian was one of the Gunners' standout players in 2019/2020.
He managed to score 10 goals across all competitions - including finding the back of the net against Liverpool and Chelsea before injury cruelly ended his campaign prematurely and halted his progress.
Fast forward a couple of years and with Martinelli on the cusp of becoming a fully-fledged Brazil international it only vindicates his decision to join Arsenal for a reported £6m fee in the 2019 summer transfer window.
