Gabriel Martinelli signing a new contract would be the perfect Christmas present for many Arsenal supporters, if an announcement is made before the weekend of course.
Whilst the Brazil international's current deal technically expires in the summer of 2024, football.london understands that the Gunners have the option to extend it by a further two years - thus taking it to 2026 - but the feeling is that they are confident of agreeing fresh terms with the winger.
Following comments last month with regard to his future, it's abundantly clear that Martinelli has no plans to leave Arsenal, amid links to the likes of Chelsea and Barcelona, as he revealed exactly what he needs to commit to the club.
