Gabriel Magalhaes has already given Arsenal transfer verdict amid Stefan de Vrij swap rumours

Inter Milan are reportedly considering approaching Arsenal with a player-plus-cash deal to secure the signing of Gabriel Magalhaes this summer.

According to Calciomercatoweb, via sportskeeda, the Italian club are ready to part ways with experienced centre-back Stefan de Vrij after his four years at the San Siro. They will use the Dutch defender as a makeweight in any potential move.

Gabriel has also been linked with a move to Juventus this summer, whilst reports of a possible departure emerged this year too. Following reports in Spain, football.london learned that Barcelona wanted a left-footed centre-half and Gabriel was originally at the top of that list.

Luckily though, Arsenal fans had nothing to worry about then and they still don't need to panic now. That's because Mikel Arteta views the Brazilian as integral to his project in north London. Plus, as Gabriel's already admitted, he's settled at the Emirates Stadium.

"Well, in my first season, I certainly learnt a lot," Gabriel told Premier League Productions earlier this year, as cited by the Evening Standard when asked to sum up his time at Arsenal so far. "It's been a real challenge here, and I am more and more settled every day. I feel better and better with each passing game. At the same time, we know we all can't be perfect in every match. We do make mistakes.

"But I feel good, I feel at home at Arsenal. It's a great squad to be a part of, and together I am sure we can achieve a lot. I am very happy here."

Of course, it's never good to predict what might or might not happen with a transfer, but the ball is very much in Arsenal's court with this one.
