Gabriel Jesus to hold talks over club future as Arsenal and Tottenham battle to sign Man City striker

Arsenal target Gabriel Jesus will start thinking about his club future from tomorrow, with Real Madrid the latest club to be linked with the Manchester City striker.

Jesus is currently away on duty with Brazil, who face Japan in a friendly in Tokyo today, and has been fully focused on his international commitments since the Premier League season concluded.

However, from Tuesday the 25-year-old will hold talks over his club future and weigh up a potential next move.

Jesus is a top target for Arsenal, who have made signing a new striker their priority during this summer’s transfer window.

The striker, who has one year left on his contract at City, is also admired by Tottenham and reports in Spain have now credited both Real and Atletico Madrid with an interest in his services.

“I’m fine, calm. Calm, as I always was. Always looking for the best for me, for my career,” Jesus said recently.

“I’ve never been one to throw myself into a project without knowing it. And that’s what I’m going to do. Now I’m focused on the national team, but as of Tuesday I start thinking about my future.”

City have already bolstered their forward line this summer by bringing in Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund.

The Premier League champions will also be adding Julian Alvarez to their squad and have rejected advances from clubs who want to take the River Plate forward on loan.

City boss Pep Guardiola is a fan of Gabriel Jesus, but is not expected to stand in his way if he pushes to leave this summer.
