The 2022 summer transfer market is fully underway and Arsenal are starting to accelerate their business, with the club hopeful that a number of key signings are made before pre-season commences.
Earlier in the window, the Gunners completed the signing of Marquinhos in a deal that is worth £3 million, with the Brazilian penning a four-year contract with the option of a further year in north London.
That deal was then followed by Arsenal confirming the signing of Fabio Vieira on Tuesday, for £34 million, with the Portugal U21 international likely to be competing with Martin Odegaard for a spot in the first team.

The focus now seems to be placed predominantly on acquiring the services of Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus, who appears to be edging 'closer' to a move to the Emirates this summer. “Gabriel Jesus is getting closer to a move to Arsenal. The talks are progressing," he said to Qué Golazo Podcast.
It does seem increasingly likely that a deal that sees Jesus reunited with Mikel Arteta will be reached, especially when considering that rivals Spurs, who were linked with the Brazilian international, have not made a bid and furthermore have no plans to do so despite being huge admirers of the 25-year-old.
Certainly, it would be a very astute signing for the Gunners when analysing Jesus' profile, with the player offering a mixture of versatility, is comfortable in playing across the entire frontline, whilst also showcasing immense intensity without the ball, something Arteta demands from his players.
Jesus ticks many boxes and former Arsenal hero Paul Merson has urged the club to secure his services if they want to finish in the top four next season.
"They have got to get him. It's that simple. Everything goes out of the window if they don't. It doesn't matter what else they do. All they've got right now up front is Eddie Nketiah, who recently signed a new contract when it looked like he might leave,"he said in his Daily Star column.
"And no disrespect to Nketiah but Mikel Arteta must realise he won't get you into the top four. Absolutely no chance. That's a fact. So they need Jesus. They don't need young players with potential like Fabio Vieira. They need experience. And Jesus has plenty of that."
