Gabriel Jesus 'prefers' Real Madrid transfer as Yves Bissouma 'destined' for Arsenal move

Arsenal are set for yet another busy summer transfer window as technical director Edu looks to continue Mikel Arteta's rebuild.

The Gunners will be hoping to end their six-year UEFA Champions League hiatus next term by adding some top-class players to Arteta's talented young squad. At least one striker will be targeted following the January departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang whilst Alexandre Lacazette is also set to leave on a free transfer at the end of the month.

A number of high-profile talents have been linked with a move to north London, including the likes of Youri Tielemans and Gabriel Jesus. With that said, football.london looks at all the latest rumours linking players with a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Gabriel Jesus preference

The aforementioned Edu has held talks with City striker Jesus' representatives in recent months, football.london understands but Spanish outlet SERDeportivos have now reported that the player prefers a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid. The report claims that Real manager Carlo Ancelotti is keen on signing the 25-year-old this summer.

However, it is claimed that the reigning La Liga champions cannot complete a deal for Jesus until fellow Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior gets a Spanish passport, with Los Blancos already at the maximum amount of non-European players permitted by La Liga. The former Palmeiras star has just 13 months left on his contract with City, who signed Norwegian starlet Erling Haaland last month.

Bissouma 'destined' for move

Italian outlet Calciomercato have reported that Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma is 'destined' to join the Gunners this summer. Their report claims that the north Londoners are ahead of Serie A outfit AS Roma in the race to sign the Mali international.

The 25-year-old excited some Arsenal fans over the weekend when he shared a message on his Instagram story about potentially being a target for Arteta and Co. The caption read: "For me I think he [Bissouma] and [Youri] Tielemans should be our [Arsenal] priority in midfield.

"We must get Bissouma at all cost.”

Tielemans admission

Leicester City star Youri Tielemans is another Premier League midfielder that has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer. The Belgian playmaker has just over a year left on his current contract at the King Power Stadium and he has now admitted that a move away from the east Midlands club cannot be ruled out.

When asked if he could leave the Foxes this summer, he said, via The Daily Mail: "That is not out of the question. I feel very good at Leicester, I was welcomed with open arms from day one.

"I give everything for the club until the last day. But of course, you have to listen to other opportunities, you have to look at your career, and sometimes you have to make choices.

"Maybe one will come my way." 90min also reported on Tuesday afternoon that the north London outfit are 'confident' a deal will happen in the coming weeks, with Arsenal said to be hoping that they can get their man for less than £25million.
