Gabby Logan on free condoms for Olympic athletes who 'are all horny'

With the Paris Olympiad over, the BBC’s star presenter Gabby Loganhas spilled some details about life in the Olympic Village, where athletes and delegates are housed for the duration of the Games. “There’s a big distribution of condoms throughout the Games,” Logan, a former rhythmic gymnast, revealed.

“I was doing some research on this the other day. Which Olympics was it that gave out the most in recent times? I think it might have been Rio. There is a certain level of heightened… I mean let’s be honest they’re all horny, they’re giving everything up,” she said on the 6 Degrees from Jamie and Spencer podcast. “It’s a group of really sexy, hot, fit athletes, probably a lot of them single. I reckon people are going to go wild,” podcast host Jamie Laing added. It’s the kind of insight you just wouldn’t hear on the Beeb.

The nighttime gymnastics of Olympic athletes hit the headlines when “anti-sex beds” were installed in the Olympic village. They were designed to be uncomfortable, it was reported, so that athletes were less tempted to engage in any extra-curricular activities while staying in close proximity to their fit fellow competitors.

Tom Daley posted a video online during the Games to show the anti-sex beds were in fact quite robust and could likely withhold any kind of vigorous movement. “As you can see they are pretty sturdy,” Daley said in a video on his TikTok, while jumping on the beds.
