The memorandum of understanding signed by the United States and Iran to ‌end ⁠their four-month war is ‌a very important ⁠step and will allow for the reopening of the ‌Strait of Hormuz, French President ‌Emmanuel Macron said Monday after meeting with US President Donald Trump at the G7 summit in France.

France hosts from Monday a summit of the G7 group of leading powers set to be dominated by scrutiny of US President Donald Trump's deal to end the war with Iran.
