Targeted ram raids in Canberra's industrial area have left businesses with extensive damage while owners attempt to recover thousands in stolen cash and hardware.
Jas Singh, co-owner of Canberra Tyres in Fyshwick, was in his home when a security alert showed him live footage of a lone burglar breaking into their Wollongong Street business about 4am.
"We pulled the CCTV and saw the person slammed his car in reverse [into the roller door]," Mr Singh said, pointing towards the broken shutter.
