FYI: Lisa Rinna’s Wicker Patio Furniture Is the Outdoor Decorating Trend All the Chicest People Will Embrace This Spring

As the crocuses burst from the hardened ground and sunny afternoons replace frigid wind gusts, it's time to turn your attention to your outdoor space. Inspiration tends to come in the least expected forms, and this season, Lisa Rinna's patio emerges as the influence we didn't know we needed.

The former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills took to Instagram to share one of her beloved dance videos with a fun twist: it was outside. In the background, we glimpsed white wicker furniture, a sofa complete with pillows, a striped rug, and even a floor lamp. All together, these elements create an inviting outdoor living room, with the outdoor wicker furniture grounding us in the sunny California atmosphere.

Though she's not the first to decorate with white wicker (we also spotted it at the homes of Goldie Hawn and Amanda Seyfried!) Lisa's design shows how this timeless material can fit seamlessly into modern styling. To further explore her patio idea, I've curated an edit of products to get the look, and collected expert quotes on why it works and the considerations to take into account with your own design.

Recreate Lisa's Look at Home

The relaxing indoor-outdoor feel of Lisa Rinna's space fits with larger patio design trends. Magdalena Gierasinska, design expert at Barker and Stonehouse, says 'The biggest outdoor living trend of 2026 is the blending together of indoor and outdoor spaces. As boundaries between indoor and outdoor living are becoming increasingly blurred, garden furniture now mirrors interior design aesthetics, with pieces like wicker and rattan furniture adding warmth and texture to outdoor spaces. This creates cohesive environments that extend the comfort and style of the home into the garden.'

However, in practice, the aesthetics of these patio trends must be in line with their practicality. We see this in Lisa Rinna's design, where high-quality materials are forefronted.

Magdalena explains: 'Choosing the best outdoor furniture is essential because in the summer months, your outdoor space becomes an extension of your home. Whether you're enjoying a quiet morning coffee, hosting long alfresco lunches, or entertaining friends, well-chosen, well-crafted pieces set the tone. Comfort and functionality encourage relaxation, while thoughtful layouts and coordinated designs elevate the atmosphere and make entertaining effortless. Consider fun and eye-catching pieces, like tiled coffee tables or a faux marble drinks table, to add character to your outdoor space.'

'When it comes to outdoor furniture, the key is to strike a balance between style, comfort, and durability,' adds Magdalena. 'Stylish garden furniture often mirrors interior trends, and as consumers increasingly see their garden as an extension of their interiors, this has never been truer.'

Rattan furniture perfectly strikes this balance. As we see on Lisa Rinna's porch, it is both timeless and stylish, used in all the chicest homes. Magdalena advises: 'Natural textures like teak and rattan, soft curves, and calming, earthy tones are all set to be popular in 2026. For practical reasons, prioritize weather-resistant materials. Low-maintenance materials are essential. Cushions should be made with quick-drying, UV-resistant fabrics, and frames need to withstand the elements without compromising on aesthetic appeal.'
