Manchester United supporters have been congratulating Amad Diallo for helping Rangers beat Hearts to lift the Scottish Cup.
After being handed a place in the starting line-up, an uneventful stint saw him hooked off on 63 minutes with the game still deadlocked. The 19-year-old has experienced a turbulent period during his loan spell in Scotland.
The striker had initially struggled for game time under Giovanni van Bronckhorst, which led to reports that the Rangers boss wished to end his loan deal early. But since then, he has featured in the club’s last six league games and in Saturday’s final.

Amad was left on the bench in Rangers’ Europa League final penalty shoot-out loss to Frankfurt on Wednesday having failed to step onto the pitch in the competition all season. But he ends his time north of the border on a happier note thanks to his club defeating Hearts 2-0 in extra time to lift his first trophy on British shores.
United fans have taken the win as a good omen ahead of Amad’s return to the club this summer. Some shared their excitement on Twitter.
