Two men were arrested in connection with the suspected importation of cannabis resin linked to the owner of Chanel the parrot.
Sandra Hannah became a social media hit in 2020 after she recorded herself crying and repeatedly calling for her African Grey parrot Chanel. But in April this year, the ECHO revealed the 43-year-old, of Cumberland Gate, Netherton, was charged along with Ian Hannah, 55, with the importation of cannabis and possession of criminal property.
The charges came after a joint operation between Merseyside Police and the National Crime Agency. During a two-day operation officers found 237.6kg of cannabis resin imported from Spain.

Police said the haul was valued at approximately £792,000. Both Hannahs were remanded in custody and appeared in Liverpool Magistrates' Court. Pictures shared by police show dozens of "Citronella" tubs containing the substances.
Last week Operation Pelican officers carried out two raids in Bradford and Warrington in relation to the cannabis resin seizure. A 42-year-old man from Bradford was arrested on May 25 while a 33-year-old Warrington man was arrested the following day.
Both were arrested on suspicion of drug offences. Merseyside Police confirmed to the ECHO both have since been conditionally bailed.
Investigations remain ongoing.
