Motherwell fans have warned their stars to "show some passion" with a banner outside Fir Park after going without a win in the league in 11 games.
Steven Hammell's side currently sit in 11th position in the Scottish Premiership after being thumped 3-1 by managerless Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Saturday afternoon. Luis 'Duk' Lopes headed home the opener and Bojan Miovski took his tally for the season to 16 with a second-half double, before Kevin van Veen netted a consolation for Well from the penalty spot.
The loss has put more pressure on the manager who took over from Graham Alexander earlier this season. It was the Dons' first win since January 7 and came in the second game since Robson stepped in for the sacked Jim Goodwin. The defeat at Pittodrie was Well's third in a row and left them 11th in the table, above Dundee United only on goal difference. It means the Lanarkshire side have only won once (against Arbroath in the Scottish Cup) since October 29 when the beat Dundee United at Tannadice.
Motherwell fans vented their anger after the game but stepped up their protests earlier today when a sign was erected outside Fir Park. The sign, shared by fan group Block E on social media, read: "Show some passion for the badge on your shirt."
Speaking after the loss in the Granite City, Hammell admitted his squad should be in a better position. He said: "We should be doing better than we are, and in the last three games we've targeted points that we've not picked up. The squad is very good. I don't want to keep talking about it, but a lot of our starting 11 is in the treatment room, but the quality we have available to us is still good enough."
