I'm A Celebrity fans threatened to switch off in their droves as Matt Hancock became camp leader this evening.
The disgraced Health Secretary's appearance on the ITV show has proved to be incredibly controversial since it was first announced he was taking part, which saw him suspended from the Tory whip.
When he stepped into camp, other stars expressed their anger over the fact that he was on the programme - with Boy George admitting he wanted to leave.
So when Mr Hancock was awarded the title of camp leader this evening, with Charlene White as his deputy, it was unsurprising that viewers were not too happy.
After going up against Mike Tindall in the leadership battle, it was up to Mr Hancock and Charlene to assign chores to all of the campmates. In an ironic twist of fate, the MP was told he and Charlene were exempt from doing chores around camp.
“That is a pity, that’s going to be hard," Mr Hancock said.
“That is going to be hard," Charlene replied.
However, Mr Hancock was delighted when he saw his throne, saying: "Look at this chair! Ah, that’s comfortable!"
Jill tried to help him to recline the chair but ended up accidentally pushing into the bushes, prompting him to laugh: "It’s really comfy now I’m here!”
As he began to tell the camp about who was doing what, Jill interrupted him with a barbed jibe: "Just to be clear, are these guidelines or rules?”
"These are rules. This is the law of the jungle, Jill," he replied smoothly.
Owen was delighted to be named camp chef with Scarlette, while Jill and Boy George were given the washing up chores. Chris and Mike were tasked with camp water while dunny duty went to Seann and Sue.
“I’m happy to move your s***," Sue laughed.
Meanwhile, Babatúndé and Mike were tasked with camp maintenance.
However, Charlene and Mr Hancock then had to reveal a secret message hidden at the bottom of the laminate, which read: "In addition to being exempt from all chores the leader and deputy will sleep in the RV and remain in there until further notice.”
But fans are getting frustrated over Matt being voted to do all the trials, with one tweeting: "If Ant and Dec announce tonight that Matt doing trial yet again, we should ALL turn programme off for 2 minutes. Let ITV know we are getting cheesed off. #ImACeleb."
While another commented: "This is boring, and we know matt will do the next trial. So predictable. Time to turn off #ImACeleb."
A third wrote: "This is sooooo boring Matt Hancock is getting all the stars making a very boring camp All the other ahem celebrities sitting on their arse getting a huge payday time to turn off #ImACeleb."
