A furious father called police to report his daughter was being held in isolation at school and teachers wouldn't let her go in a row over the length of skirts. The 14-year-old girl called her father in tears after being held in a room because teachers said her skirt was too short.
The father went to the school but had to wait another two hours before his daughter was released and they were able to go home. The girl's mum says her younger daughter, who is 12 and has autism, has since refused to go to school due to anxiety after feeling "humiliated" by school staff.
Emma Harvey, from Glen Parva, said her daughter, who is also 14, was among those affected. "I got a call from my daughter, who is in Year 10, who was extremely upset," she told LeicestershireLive.
