Furious Carol Vorderman criticises the Tories' laws

Carol Vorderman has criticised the Tory party once again as she posts a Tweet claiming that their laws are meant to "curb our freedoms."

Taking to Twitter, Carol, who has a home in Clifton, shared an Article from The Mirror about her anger about the Tory's 'corruption'. She captioned the Tweet: "I'm posting this article in the hope you'll read the detail within it.

"Many laws passed by this Tory govt & many more being pushed through now, which are designed are to curb our freedoms and enhance the wealth of the City and cronies."

As Carol posted her tweet this afternoon, fans and famous rushed to thank the star and beg her to enter the world of politics. One said: "Well done for using your fame to challenge this government. They have such a large majority I worry they can implement anything unchallenged." Another added: "I could imagine that you would make an excellent Prime Minister, and have Martin Lewis as your Chancellor of the exchequer. What a team."

The former Countdown star has accused those in 10 Downing Street of "actively encouraging corruption" and expressed her anger online over the Procurement Bill passed by the current Tory government in July 2022.

As reported by The Mirror, Carol has vowed to do all she can, along with Good Law Project director Jo Maugham, to "expose" the government, who she says is "to its very soul, corrupt".

The controversial Procurement Bill has previously been described as a "charter for cronies" that legalises its Covid VIP lane and will hand more power to ministers.

Speaking last year, Labour’s deputy leader, Angela Rayner, said: "This government is presiding over a procurement racket at the expense of the British people. Under the Tories, cronies have never had it so good.

"They cut murky deals in the dark with their mates using taxpayers’ money and this procurement bill would hand them a golden ticket to do it all over again. This bill is a charter for cronies. Labour is demanding ministers act to ensure genuine transparency and clawback in contracts.

"Under a Labour government there will be no hiding place for cronies and no corner for corruption. We’ll give the Tory sleaze merchants their marching orders, end handouts to tax havens and strike off failed providers."
