The UK’s top ten ‘funniest business names’ have been revealed ahead of a public vote to crown ‘Britain’s Best Small Business Name’ once and for all. With over 1,500 entries, a panel at Simply Business – provider of small business insurance – meticulously considered those with the wittiest and most memorable business names from across the UK before agreeing the shortlist.
It’s now down to the public to crown the winner of the competition, which will see one business awarded a prize of £2,500 to help grow their business.Voting is now open until 5pm Tuesday, May 31.

A witty or funny business name can play a big part in helping small businesses succeed, a new study by Simply Business reveals.
A third of people say they’d be more likely to shop at a small or local business with a funny or witty business name compared to those without, according to a survey of over 2,000 consumers by Simply Business. Two thirds of people would also be more likely to notice a small or local business with a funny or witty business name.
To celebrate the wit, creativity, and humour of the nation’s small business owners, Simply Business are looking to crown one standout business with the title of ‘Britain’s Best Small Business Name’.
