Bristol-based online greeting card and gift company Funky Pigeon has suspended its website after being hit by a cyber attack. The business, which has offices on Ashton Road and employs around 30 staff in the city, said it was writing to all customers from the past 12 months to inform them of the hack, which took place last Thursday.
According to Funky Pigeon, no customer payment data is at risk and the company does not believe any account passwords have been affected. It added that it had taken its systems offline “as a precaution” and was therefore unable to fulfil any current orders.
“As soon as we discovered the incident last Thursday, we launched a forensic investigation led by external experts to understand the incident and whether there has been any impact on customer data," Funky Pigeon said in a statement.
