The funeral of murdered psychic Stefan Nivelles Posschier is set to take place today.
Mr Posschier, 65, died in “violent” circumstances at his home at Rattin, between Kinnegad and Milltownpass, in Co Westmeath, on October 25. The body of the Belgian national, who went by the stage name Stefan de Guylian and had lived in the area for more than 20 years, was found by gardai on land near his home.
It’s believed he was stabbed by a man known to him. A death notice for Mr Posschier, who was working as a medium, tarot-card reader, clairvoyant and shamanic healer, was posted yesterday on RIP.ie.

It stated he would be sadly missed by his family and friends. It read: “Beloved son of Ann and the late Jacques, brother of Pierre, Jacqueline, Jeanette, Kathryn, Mariette, John, Dympna, James and the late Louise and also his son, Jacques.
“Stefan will be sadly missed by his mother, brothers, sisters, sons, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.” His funeral will take place today arriving for Mass at 11am at St Brigid’s Church, Clonegal, Co Carlow, followed by burial in The New Cemetery.
