An Ayrshire village has rallied round the devastated family of Lisa Haining - a week on since a body was found in the search for the missing mum.
A fundraiser has been launched to support the Dundonald family who are grieving the loss of their mum and wife.
Kind neighbour Sean Burns launched the Go Fund Me online page this week, more than seven days on since the search for NHS nurse tragically ended.
And locals have rallied to raise more than £1,600 in just two days, smashing the initial target of £300.
The fundraiser was set up to support heartbroken husband Craig and his children Gregor, 22, Emma, 19 and Ewan, 15, who lost their mum at the age of 50.
A post on the fundraising page reads: "I would like to ask if everyone could help raise funds for my neighbour/ friend Craig Haining and his family who tragically just lost his wife and his kids' mother.
"Please give what you can and the money will help to pay for the funeral and the family who are lost right now without Lisa."
Donations have poured in from villagers and friends.
One devastated pal posted a tribute whilst making a contribution to the page.
They said: "Lisa was an amazing, kind, gentle soul. It was a privilege to call her my friend. Loving thoughts surround Craig, Gregor, Emma and Ewan at this very sad time."
Doting husband Craig, 51, paid a heartfelt thanks to those who donated.
The dad said: "I'm overwhelmed and humbled by this. My children and I are simply amazed at human compassion."
Last week Craig led tributes to his soul mate, describing her a "gentle-natured person with a fantastic sense of humour".
Lisa was also a popular nurse who worked at the Biggart Hospital in Prestwick.
Police confirmed that a body was found in the search for Lisa on Sunday, January 29 in the Leggaston Road area of Darnley after she first vanished on Friday, January 20 from her home in the village.
Officers said at the time there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
