A fundraiser to support the family of 16-year-old Melissa Premaratne has reached £100,000 - (PA)

A fundraising appeal has reached £100,000 for the family of a 16-year-old schoolgirl who died after being hit by a car near her school in north London.

The campaign was launched following the death of Melissa Premaratne, who was fatally injured in a collision near Highgate School on 25 September.
