A Tesco shopper was left 'fuming and upset' after she was confronted by a staff member for wearing a bikini top while shopping on the hottest day of the year.
The woman visited the supermarket in Driffield on Monday (July 18). However shortly after entering the store, she was approached by an employee who told her she was not permitted in the store wearing a bikini top - despite temperatures outside reaching 35C.
A heated argument followed, with another worker having to come over and comfort the woman after the tense exchange and the store manager repeatedly apologising for her treatment. Posting about the incident on social media, the woman explained that she was dressed in the bikini top and shorts because of the unprecedented heatwave, Hull Live reports.
