Fuming ITV I'm A Celebrity fans ask where punishment is as they demand action over 'rule breaker' Charlene White

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here fans have been left fuming as they accuse Charlene White of breaking the rules. During Sunday night's episode, viewers of the ITV reality show saw Matt Hancock become the camp's first leader of the series with the Tory MP choosing Loose Women star Charlene as his deputy.

Matt and Mike Tindall both received the most votes for the camp role from the public and, after the former rugby star chose Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver as his right-hand woman, the four-piece went head-to-head in a challenge to decide who'd be in charge in the camp first.

But before he even gets stuck into his new camp duties, Matt faces potential revolt after being named leader following a head-to-head with former England rugby star Mike Tindall for control of the campsite, prompting a muted reaction from his co-stars. And dissent soon began to spread.

As he addressed the group for the first time, England footballer Jill Scott quipped: "Just to be clear, are these guidelines or rules?" referring to the actions to led him to resign in June 2021. In the Bush Telegraph, Chris Moyles added: "Matt Hancock is our leader. Words nobody in Britain ever thought they would hear." Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver also joked about them leading a revolution and Boy George quickly came up with a song about never supporting a Tory.

Regardless of the reaction, the former Health Secretary and ITV News anchor had to delegate the chores to the remaining camp mates while also being unable to help in such tasks themselves. And as another added bonus, the pair were also able to sleep with some additional comfort as Jill Scott and Owen Warner were kicked out of the camp's RV to make way for the new leader and his deputy.

However, Charlene was left far from impressed to discover a spider also making the RV home, and even spotted a creepy crawly in her bed. "I can’t do this tonight," she cried. Then s peaking in the Bush Telegraph, Charlene went on: "My bravery levels are done for today. I really don't want to have to sleep in the RV."

She went on to tell Matt that she “wanted to sleep in a bed she’s more familiar with” as she left Matt to sleep alone in the RV as she returned to her hammock. But I'm A Celeb fans have been left annoyed with Charlene's decision and have been asking when - or if - she'll be punished for 'breaking the rules'.

@katwest1 tweeted: "@imacelebrity Why has Charlene not been punished for not sleeping in the RV??? She breaking the rules?? Or is it it one rule for one and different for the rest??? Come on @imacelebrity this is turning in to a bit of a bore and poor Matt Hancock!!" @GavinEvs said: "Charlene should be made to sleep in the RV or have a punishment #ImaCeleb."

@laura_alice24 asked: "Will Charlene / the celebrities be penalised for not sleeping in the RV? I’m sure in previous years they’ve classed things like that as a “rule break” and there’s been some sort of punishment for it? #ImACeleb." @hollycarruthers posted: "Why isn’t Charlene sleeping in the RV make her do a trial for disobeying the rules ! #imaceleb."

@krystlew123 wrote: "They should force Charlene to sleep in the RV!! What a wasted opportunity for someone else! #ImACeleb." @lornawatts added: "If Charlene doesn’t sleep in the RV doesn’t that go against the rules, therefore the camp will be punished? I bloody hope so. Bring some drama. Let them win stars then take them away. #imaceleb."
