Full West Ham squad revealed for Europa Conference League qualifier against Viborg

West Ham United could be handing out a number of full debuts in their Europa Conference League play-off qualifying round first leg against Viborg on Thursday night.

The Hammers face their Danish opponents on Thursday and again in a week’s time, with the winner over the two legs booking a place in the group stages of this season’s Europa Conference League.

Going into the first leg of the game, manager David Moyes is one of three key figures set to miss out of the game through suspension. Moyes is serving a one-match touchline suspension after kicking a ball at a ballboy during last season’s Europa League semi-final second leg defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Following comments made after that game, captain Declan Rice is also suspended and will be missing both legs of the tie. Left-back Aaron Cresswell is also suspended, having been sent off in the first half of that second leg defeat to eventual trophy winners Frankfurt.

Centre-backs Craig Dawson (quad) and Angelo Ogbonna (knee) remain out of contention. However, despite missing training on Wednesday as a precaution over a toe issue, midfield summer signing Flynn Downes is set to be involved.

The Hammers completed their sixth signing of the summer transfer window on Wednesday, signing German international defender Thilo Kehrer from Paris Saint-Germain for £10.1million. He was signed in time to be involved, having done some training on Wednesday.

Summer arrivals Gianluca Scamacca and Maxwel Cornet could also both have a chance of making their first starts since joining the Hammers, with both only featuring so far from the bench.

Defender Harrison Ashby and midfielder Pierre Ekwah were both among the younger players training with the senior squad on Wednesday and could be involved against the Danish side.

Here is a look at who could feature for the Hammers against Viborg.
