Full Liverpool squad available to face Everton as Jurgen Klopp waits on fitness of striker

There will be more than pride to play for in today's Merseyside derby at Anfield as Liverpool look to get one over their rivals Everton and close the gap on Manchester City.

City won 5-1 at home to Watford on Saturday to extend their lead at the top to four points. But that lead will be back down to one point if Liverpool beat struggling neighbours Everton.

They will be favourites to do just that given they recorded a convincing 4-0 home win over Manchester United in midweek. That win had initially moved Liverpool to the top of the table. But City have subsequently swept aside Brighton and Watford at the Etihad to move back to the summit.

Roberto Firmino missed the win over United but Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was hopeful that the striker would recover in time to face Everton. However, the Brazilian was not pictured taking part in the training session on Friday.

*Here are the players Klopp looks set to have at his disposal against Everton today, barring any late issues:

Goalkeepers: Adrian, Alisson Becker, Caoimhin Kelleher.

Defenders: Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, Kostas Tsimikas, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk.

Midfielders: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones, Fabinho, Harvey Elliott, James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Thiago Alcantara.

Forwards: Diogo Jota, Divock Origi, Luis Diaz, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino.
