The Conservative Party is fielding the largest number of candidates in the upcoming Rushcliffe Borough Council elections as it seeks to retain its grip on the authority. The Conservatives currently have 27 councillors on the council, compared to six held by Labour, three held by the Greens, Leake Independents and Liberal Democrats and two held by independent councillors.
The upcoming elections on May 4 will see elections taking place at authorities across the country, including in Rushcliffe. Rushcliffe is one of two district and borough councils in Nottinghamshire currently controlled by the Conservatives, the other being Newark.
In this year's election, the Conservatives will be fielding 42 candidates compared to Labour's 32, 12 independent candidates, 12 Greens, 11 Liberal Democrats, five Rushcliffe Independents and one from Reform UK. Below are all the candidates standing in Rushcliffe on May 4.
