Sales growth and price cuts
The wave of openings follows an annual trading update showing company turnover increased five per cent to a record £19bn for the 12 months to December 31, 2025.
Aldi's share of the UK grocery market stands at an estimated 10.6 per cent.
Consumer groups have ranked the grocer as the UK's cheapest supermarket for five consecutive years.
The company remains the only major supermarket chain where prices are dropping year-on-year, following an investment of £340m to reduce prices on more than 1,000 products this year.
