The BBC has published its annual report which breaks down the salaries of all the top BBC stars across the UK. Every year the broadcaster publishes details of the salaries of those who earn more than £150,000. Topping the list once again is Gary Lineker, the only presenter to take home more than £1m for the year 2022/23.
Zoe Ball is the highest paid female presenter, earning just short of £1m with a salary of between £980,000 and £984,999. News presenter Huw Edwards' salary increased this year, moving him further up the rankings making him the fourth-highest BBC star in the corporation. Some presenters, like Graham Norton and Alex Jones, are not included because their shows are produced by BBC Studios, a commercial company. This includes stars in other high profile shows like EastEnders, Strictly Come Dancing and Top Gear. This list is ranker by salary band, starting with the highest. The equivalent salary band for 2021/22 is shown in brackets, with a description of the year-on-year change.
