Chelsea are getting busy. They were always likely to be one of the most active sides in the transfer window this summer and so far haven't disappointed. As well as confirming the departures of N'Golo Kante and Kalidou Koulibaly, a group of four other first team stars are on their way out.
The club are keen to make the most of the period before pre-season in order to best cater to Mauricio Pochettino's needs ahead of the tour of America but not everything can be done before then. There will be players coming in and out of the group from the States but there is positivity that noises suggest deals are being done.
As opposed to this time last year when there was a transition into the new ownership, there is a fresh director model in place to lead the recruitment. Todd Boehly is no longer the interim sporting director and plans have been discussed ahead of one of the most important windows in recent memory.
