Those on benefits, including Universal Credit, will see a slight change to payment dates in the next couple of months thanks to a slew of Bank Holidays. Easter, Spring and King Charles’ coronation means that we will enjoy five bank holidays in two months over April and May.
These public holidays will have an effect on when benefits and salaries will be paid. The Government says that while payments can vary, “if it’s a bank holiday anywhere in the UK your payment may be early”.
The money will be paid straight into claimants' nominated accounts as is usually the case.
