Chelsea are expected to be one of the busier Premier League clubs in the January transfer window after the World Cup.

The World Cup is just days away and many nations have finally announced their 26-man squads for the tournament. The Premier League will now be paused until Boxing Day next month as players head out to Qatar to represent their respective nations.

With many key players suffering from injuries it could see a number of talents emerge and announce themselves on the world stage ahead of a January transfer window which could prove crucial for many teams. Premier League scouts will be keeping a keen eye on any players that catch the eye out in Qatar as clubs aim to reinforce their respective squads for the second half of the season.

Graham Potter will be hoping he will have the chance to add players that fit into his own style of play and system at Stamford Bridge after being appointed days after the summer transfer window. After inheriting a squad tailored towards Thomas Tuchel's ideas, Todd Boehly is expected to back Potter in the transfer market as the American owner prepares to break the bank with a number of new signings in 2023.
