The future for High Street banking has been dealt another blow with the announcement of further bank closures by the Lloyds Banking Group.
The group says it will shut 66 branches across the UK from October.
That is on top of recent announcements by Lloyds confirming 28 branches would close between August and November this year, while a further 60 sites are shutting between June and September.
It means that by early 2023, a total of 133 Lloyds Bank branches, 50 Halifax branches and 19 Bank of Scotland branches will have closed, reports The Mirror.
This latest closure list affects 48 branches of Lloyds Bank and 18 Halifax branches which will go between October 2022 and February 2023.

The list of closures, which you can see below, affects branches in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The increase in online banking has seen the number of high street banks and building societies drastically reduce over recent years.
In March, HSBC announced 69 UK sites will shut with 400 staff affected and in February, NatWest and the Royal Bank of Scotland announced that 32 branches would close in 2022.
