The Oklahoma City Thunder return from a rare three-day break when they travel to take on the Dallas Mavericks. This is the first contest of a road-and-home back-to-back for OKC this weekend.
The Thunder enter the afternoon game relatively healthy. The only players on their injury report are Gordon Hayward (calf strain) and Keyontae Johnson (G League two-way), who are both out.
The Thunder will have to wait a bit longer for their new addition, as Hayward will not make his OKC debut until after the All-Star break.
Meanwhile, the Mavericks have a lengthy injury report but it’s mostly inconsequential.
Luka Doncic (broken nose) and Kyrie Irving (thumb sprain) are both probable. Maxi Kleber (toe dislocation) is questionable.
Dereck Lively II (nasal fracture), Dante Exum (knee bursitis) and Greg Brown III (G League two-way) are out. Neither P.J. Washington nor Daniel Gafford were listed on the injury report, which is a positive sign for their availability after being traded to Dallas.
In their last contest, OKC lost on the road to the Utah Jazz on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dallas is riding a three-game winning streak with its latest victory against the New York Knicks on Thursday.
This will be the second matchup between the Thunder and Mavericks this season. Last time, OKC survived a 30-0 run by Dallas to escape with a road win on Dec. 2.
Tip off from Dallas is set for 2 p.m. CT.
