The Boston Celtics might not have won their first game of the 2023 Las Vegas Summer League after falling to the Miami Heat 99-88, but the Sin City Celtics provided an excellent vehicle to get a closer look at how a number of prospects for the team’s future two way and depth roster spots played together under a Boston assistant coach in Tony Dobbins.
Boston’s No. 38 pick of the 2023 NBA draft Jordan Walsh had an excellent debut with 18 points fueled by 4-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc, Celtics two way floor general JD Davison had a double-double of 14 points and 11 assists, while free agent guard Jay Scrubb pitched in another 17 points off fo the bench.
