Full Arsenal squad revealed for Oxford clash as Mikel Arteta faces Emile Smith Rowe decision

Arsenal's 2022/23 FA Cup campaign gets underway tonight when they take on League 1 side Oxford United in their third-round clash.

The north Londoners sit atop of the current Premier League standings, five points clear of second-placed Manchester City, who await the winner of this evening's match in the fourth round of the cup. Mikel Arteta is expected to rotate his starting line-up at the Kassam Stadium, with the likes of Kieran Tierney, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Fabio Vieira likely to come in for some much-needed game time.

The Gunners may also be boosted by the return of Hale End academy graduate Emile Smith Rowe, who hasn't played since September's 3-1 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford. Smith Rowe had suffered from a niggling groin problem before undergoing surgery on the affected area later that month.

Speaking about the Englishman in the build-up to tonight's clash, Arteta said “He (Smith Rowe) knows that he has the space in the squad to fulfil his potential. We really like him, I really like him, and he is a very important player for us.

"He knows that now he needs to jump on the train fast enough to have the impact that we all hope that he can have this season. He can play as a left attacking midfielder, on the right, he can play off the left as well.

"Those qualities within those units on the outside is something that he compliments really well with. We will exploit that.” Ahead of tonight's match, football.london takes a look at the players the Spaniard has available to him for trip to Oxford.
