Arsenal play the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final with Liverpool on Thursday, as Mikel Arteta attempts to seal a date with Chelsea in the final next month.
The first leg at Anfield ended in a 0-0 draw despite the north Londoners having to play the majority of the match with 10 men after Granit Xhaka was sent off in the first half.
However, plenty of controversy has surrounded the Gunners this week after they successfully managed to postpone Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham.
According to a statement released by the Premier League, Arsenal were unable to fulfil the fixture because of a "combination of Covid-19, existing and recent injuries and players on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations."
As a result of the game being rescheduled, the Gunners will go into Thursday's clash at the Emirates Stadium the fresher of the two sides, after Liverpool beat Brentford 3-0 at the weekend.
Arteta defended the club’s decision to call for a postponement in his pre-match press conference ahead of Thursday's game, but he gave little away regarding team news.
"I can't and I don't want to because I don't want to give anything away, sorry. He told reporters.
"There are issues and issues that haven't been resolved, but as you can understand I want to keep that to myself."
One definite absentee will be Xhaka after he was dismissed in the first leg, with that in mind football.london looks at the squad Arteta will have at his disposal on Thursday.
