Arsenal will be looking to climb back to the top of the Premier League when they welcome Liverpool to the Emirates Stadium this afternoon. The Gunners were knocked off top spot yesterday following Manchester City's 4-0 thrashing of Southampton.
Mikel Arteta's side head into the clash as favourites, which not many would have predicted when the season started two months ago. Arsenal haven't been beaten in the league at the Emirates since April, while Liverpool have only won two of their first seven Premier League games this term.
Jurgen Klopp's side have failed to click so far this campaign, with all departments of the team failing to hit the heights that they've shown they can reach in previous seasons. There have been injuries in midfield, summer signing Darwin Nunez has struggled since joining the club, and Trent Alexander-Arnold has come in for lots of criticism.

In terms of Arsenal team news, Oleksandr Zinchenko missed out on the Gunners' squad for the Europa League clash with Bodo/Glimt on Thursday. However, football.london understands that Arsenal made the decision as a precaution. He wasn't involved in Arsenal's training session on Friday, but he could be back in the squad against Liverpool.
Elsewhere, the likes of Cedric Soares and Reiss Nelson are now back after recovering from injuries.
