Fulham determined to keep Fabio Carvalho for Premier League promotion bid despite Liverpool transfer move

Fulham are adamant that Fabio Carvalho will remain at Craven Cottage until the end of the season, even if Liverpool strike a late deal for the youngster.

The 19-year-old has attracted interest from across the Premier League with Leeds, Southampton and West Ham all linked previously, but Liverpool look set to win the race for the forward.

Jurgen Klopp's side, who three years ago signed Harvey Elliott from Fulham's academy, are in talks over a late £5million deal for the youngster, who rejected a new deal earlier this season and would be a free agent in the summer.

With Marco Silva's side pushing for the Championship title and an instant return back to the Premier League, the west Londoners do not want to lose a crucial cog in their forward line and any deal would see Carvalho stay in west London on loan until the end of the campaign.

Carvalho, who has represented England at youth level, has a combined six goals and assists in the last five games.

The forward made four appearances in the Premier League at the end of last season and scored his first goal for the club at Southampton. Carvalho has seven goals and four assists in the Championship this term.
