Fulham confident of fighting off Tosin Adarabioyo transfer interest after sealing Premier League return

Key man: Tosin Adarabioyo has been an integral part of Fulham’s promotion push this season

Fulham are confident they will keep hold of defender Tosin Adarabioyo this summer after securing promotion to the Premier League.

Adarabioyo has been scouted by Premier League clubs including Newcastle while playing in the Championship this season.

Fulham had been fearful they could lose the 24-year-old this summer if big bids came in and they had failed to seal an instant return to the top-flight.

However, they achieved that feat against Preston last week and could wrap up the Championship title in tonight’s clash with Nottingham Forest at Craven Cottage.

If Fulham claim at least a point and Bournemouth lose at Swansea, they will clinch top spot with two matches to spare.

Securing promotion early, which wasn’t the case in 2020 when they went up under Scott Parker via the play-offs, has allowed Fulham to start planning for life in the Premier League.

They are confident they will keep hold of Adarabioyo, who has established himself as a mainstay in the heart of their defence.

Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon is also due to join Fulham for around £7million to bolster their attack.

Liverpool right-back Neco Williams has impressed on loan with the Cottagers this season and his future is uncertain going into the summer.

The 21-year-old is determined to make it at Anfield, but he wants regular first-team football - especially if Wales qualify for the World Cup later this year.

As a result, another loan to Fulham could be an ideal option to give him Premier League minutes.
