- Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa maintains that the squad's mood remains positive ahead of Saturday's trip to Liverpool , despite the club losing their opening three Premier League matches of the new season.
- Reports of potential unrest surfaced after unused substitute Kevin posted a cryptic message on social media, while key players Alex Iwobi and Emile Smith Rowe deleted all club-related content from their Instagram accounts.
- Arbeloa, who replaced Marco Silva in the summer following a spell at Real Madrid, stated that while non-playing team members are understandably frustrated, he has been impressed by the group's strong work ethic in training.
- The fixture marks a return to Anfield for Arbeloa, who made 98 appearances for Liverpool as a player, as he searches for his first points since taking charge at Craven Cottage.
- Opponents Liverpool enter the match having won back-to-back games under new manager Andoni Iraola, whereas Fulham are seeking to bounce back from last weekend's defeat against Crystal Palace.
