FTSE 100 up as defence stocks rally on spend lift

The FTSE 100 edged higher on Tuesday as investors digested government defence spending plans in the UK and cooling inflation data in Europe.

The FTSE 100 closed up 12.90 points, 0.1%, at 10,497.12.
