Florida State quarterback McKenzie Milton capped off a stellar college career by being named one of three winners of the 2021 Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year Award Tuesday.
Milton shared the honor with Michigan defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson and Kentucky linebacker J.J. Weaver. He also was named a winner of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Brian Piccolo Award, which is given to the league’s ‘most courageous’ football players.
A $5,000 donation will be made to all three comeback winners’ school’s general scholarship fund.
