A frustrated dad has told of how he was 'treated like an animal' as he queued for 24 hours to renew his diabetic son's passport.

Phil Corns, 41, had made the journey from his home to the passport office at 8pm on May 31 after completing a 12-hour shift.

Phil was due to work another 12-hour shift after having been awake for at least 36 hours, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports.
