From the Gallaghers to Stormzy — Burberry’s perfectly curated front row

Daniel Lee’s first Burberry show as Chief Creative Officer was presented to a quintessentially British audience yesterday, with a front row lineup of Britain’s most trendy dynasties.

Liam Gallagher’s kids, Gene Gallagher and Molly Moorish, were among the family members looking cosy on the Kennington Park FROW and were kept company by their brother Lennon Gallagher’s girlfriend, Isobel Richmond, who was there to support her boyfriend as he walked the runway alongside fellow nepo-baby Iris Law.

Fellow British musical offspring and model Georgia May Jagger was present, accompanied by father Mick Jagger’s ex-wife Bianca Jagger (there are some interesting family dynamics at play in this seating plan). Georgia May Jagger’s own mum and ex-partner of Mick, Jerry Hall, was not present.

Then, the lovers: British It Couple — BritCouple, anyone? — Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham were seen front and centre at the show looking very loved up with photos capturing Huntington-Whiteley as she caressed her husband’s head and looked at him fondly.

And this is just the families! Delegates from the fashion, football and entertainment industries were all present, representing Britain in classic trenches and tailored suits.

Grime rapper and actor Kano rubbed shoulders with BAFTA nominee Sheila Atim while Stormzy was seen chatting to Jason Statham.

Meanwhile, Naomi Campbell and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful were looking poised in their grayscale outfits — for him, a tailored coat, black tee and black trousers, and for her, a stone coloured suit with nothing underneath, and a black coat draped effortlessly across her shoulders.

Slightly more colour was offered up by American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, in a classic floral dress and red coat, and rapper Future, who attended wearing a full tan outfit, paired with a khaki jacket and Burberry check headscarf.

Things went back to black with Jodie Comer’s arrival, though, as the actress appeared in a sleek oversized blazer and trousers with a cut out bodysuit beneath, exposing her chest and hips.

Comer was joined by fellow actress Naomi Ackie, who was busy walking the BAFTAs red carpet less than 24 hours earlier due to her nomination for Rising Star Award, which was eventually scooped up by Sex Education star Emma Mackey. Ackie posed in her tan Burberry trench next to Sheila Atim, who was also present at the BAFTAs and still rocking her stylish purple trim from the night before.

It was, all in all, a fabulously British outing which Daniel Lee wanted to feel ‘positive’ above all else. “‘I want it to, hopefully, show some positivity about Britain to the world and again remind people that great creativity often comes from here,” he said of the show.

“There are great schools here, there’s great music, there’s great theatre, there’s great art and I think it’s good to shine a light on those things.” And if the offspring present on Lee’s FROW is anything to show for Britain’s cultural prowess, he’s really not wrong.
